Re-grading is one of the two ways in which to assist students in ES02 and ES05 who have not completed their assessments successfully. It is achieved through the following steps.
- Log in to our website, and click on “View Course” for ES02 (not ES02F) or ES05. This will take you to the course home page.
- Scroll down until you locate the Module Assessment Quiz that the student failed – click on it.
- Look for “Attempts: XXX” – the number will be different, depending on how many people have attempted that quiz – but you’ll notice it is in blue and you can click it. Click on that text to open a list of staff and their attempts at the quiz.
- Locate the student you are helping. If you manage multiple groups, use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to select the correct department/group.
- A student may have up to 3 attempts listed – choose whichever attempt you wish to regrade (usually you will regrade their latest attempt or their highest-graded attempt).
- Underneath their name, locate and click on “Review Attempt” to open the attempt.
- You can then see the questions the student answered – and under each question look for “Make comment or over-ride” – clicking this will open up that question in a new window.
- In the green area, you can make a comment if you wish, and look for the small box where the “Mark” is – here you should change it “1.00” and click on “save” at the bottom of the box. This marks the question as correct.
- If you need to override more than one question, repeat for the other incorrect answers in that attempt. The student needs 80% to pass.
- Once finished reviewing click on "Finish Review" at the bottom of the page and you are all done. Let the student know they can now log in and collect their certificate.
